It was the '70s. Can't remember why, but one Saturday night on All in the Family, Archie Bunker asked Mike Stivic whether he was a sock-sock-shoe-shoe person or a sock-shoe-sock-shoe person.

something about having one socked and shoed foot and one naked foot just feels so wrong.
I keep all socks upstairs and all shoes downstairs, so defintely both socks are on long before any shoes.
Personally prefer barefoot or flip-flops
